The amend-window decoder runs in your browser only. The dates, dollar amounts, filing status, credit type, and state you enter into the decoder are processed entirely client-side. They are never POSTed to our servers, never logged, and never associated with you in any database we operate. If you close the tab, the inputs are gone — there is nothing on our side to forget about.

We collect aggregate, non-identifying verdict-kind counts (e.g., "the decoder returned verdict=amend-yes Ntimes this week") to prioritize content updates. We do not collect names, taxpayer IDs, install addresses, vehicle VINs, or contractor information.

Cookies. We use cookies for: (1) anonymous analytics (Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization) to count page visits; (2) Google Consent Mode v2 — analytics_storage is granted by default, ad_storageis opt-in only; (3) affiliate referral attribution — when you click an outbound tax-prep affiliate link (TurboTax, TaxAct, FreeTaxUSA, H&R Block), the affiliate's own first-party cookie may be set on their domain.

No selling, no sharing. We do not sell your data. We do not share data with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to operate the site (e.g., hosting, analytics aggregator, CDN log retention). We do not run targeted-advertising audience builds on this domain.

YMYL audience-sensitivity note. Many users of this site are in active correspondence with the IRS (an open audit, a denied claim, or a contested credit). The decoder is designed so that the data you enter never leaves your browser. If you want to be even more cautious, you can run the decoder in your browser's private / incognito mode — nothing on our side changes either way.

Data subject rights. Because we do not collect identifying decoder inputs, there is no personal data on our side to access, correct, port, or delete relating to your decoder use. For analytics-cookie-related rights, you can clear the relevant cookies in your browser at any time; the site will continue to work.

Operating entity. The operating entity and US mailing address are pending finalization. Governing law: Delaware (default until US LLC formation; see /terms).
